16 months
Well, I hate to start off this way, but you haven't been quite as much of a pain in the butt as months 12-15. Your sense of humor has really bloomed this month.
You're starting potty training as of today. )I know, 16/17 months. I understand. I hear all of you. But he's really interested in it. I swear. When he tries to look between my legs while I'm going to the bathroom, or trying to pull off his diaper, or flushing the toilet. I think it's time. )Today, you got your very own potty chair. The one that was given to us has mysteriously disappeared. You are now the proud owner of the "royal potty chair" (i swear that's the name!). A throne of your own (also, i swear it said this on the box) complete with sounds and music for when you go tinkle. It's time for you to use words like Tinkle, PeePee, and... as mommy taught you earlier, great sounds effects like 'sssssssss!' Evidently you're enjoying your first day, because I've found you twice already sitting on your new throne.
Music is still your passion. Every weekend morning we watch both wiggles dvds and the ralph one too. It's amazing how you can anticipate what will come next in the song- like clapping your hands, or 'shh-ing' during "Rock-a-Bye your bear" You can also tell when the song is going to end. Even songs you've never heard before. Genius.
Your dancing is rival to Elvis.
You've learned how to open doors. This is a problem for your mother and father, because now, we can't take a shower and lock you inside. It's also a problem when we buy you a new little chair from Ikea, only for you to move it over to the pantry door - which you can now open with this added lift.
This month, your favorite things are: My Little Pony- for her hair, Barbie- to chuck across the room, Mommy's Shoes- you run surprisingly well in the flip flops for them being many sizes too big, Face Parts- you know all of them, but only mommy has a nose. Oh, and Balloons. Still.
You've also learned how to turn on and off the tv. You now control mommy's addiction. Funny. Thanks. (But, just remember daddy, he can also control the volume on the stereo- which gets REALLY loud at 7am when you're trying to go back to sleep! You won't forget THAT any time soon now will you?)
Your words: Tat (for tattoo), Hi (for Hi, goodbye, yes, no, etc.), Heh (for Yes), Crcck (cracker reverted), Shhh (Mommy, I would like to brush my teeth now.), EYYEHHHHHHEYEY (I want that and you won't let me have it!)
Back to the learning how to open doors, you also have some strange obsession with not being able to leave an open door open. Anyone know where we can get some door stoppers?
You are able to recognize people or put faces with names. Papa to you, is grandpa. You always grab his photo when I ask where Papa is.
One more thing. Zsolti, we really ARE tired of the Fox book.
